Stafford, VA. The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is investigating reports of shots fired in the Foxwood Village area.

On Sunday, February 17, 2019, at approximately 9:28 p.m., Deputies Richardson, Leckemby, and Reed were conducting a traffic stop in the area of the Staffordboro Commuter Lot when they heard multiple gunshots coming from the direction of Foxwood Village. In the meantime, several callers advised the Sheriff’s Office that they heard shots in the area of Cliff Circle.

Upon arrival, deputies began canvassing the area for suspicious activity and possible damage. Several shell casings were located on the roadway on Cliff Circle. Additional shell casings were located in the area of Stevens Circle.

Deputies then made contact with one of the callers who said that after hearing the shots they could hear the sound of a vehicle accelerating and driving away.
