Last Suspect Apprehended from August's Home-Invasion Robbery

In the early evening of September 18, 2016, Detective B.L. Surles received a tip that the fourth and final suspect in the August 28th armed home-invasion robbery had recently returned to Stafford County. Det. Surles received information that the suspect, Sean Russell Colley, was staying with a female companion on Spring Valley Drive in the southern portion of the county.

At approximately 8:00pm Colley was observed leaving the residence in a black Chrysler 300 and law enforcement followed. As he travelled north on Warrenton Road he began to swerve from lane to lane. A felony traffic stop was initiated near the intersection of Warrenton Road and Solomon Drive. Colley was taken into custody without incident.

Sean Russell Colley, age 31, of Washington Mill Road in King George Virginia, was charged with the following 11 counts from Stafford County: Abduction and Intimidation by Force; Breaking and Entering with Intent to Rape, Rob or Murder; Robbery; Conspiracy; Weapons Possession by a Felon; Use or Display of Firearm in the Commission of a Felony; Possession of Marijuana; Possess Distribute Controlled Paraphernalia; Carry Concealed Weapon – 1st Offense; Reckless Driving and Driving with a Suspended License. Colley also has outstanding felony charges from King George, VA and Charles County, MD.

Colley was incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail and is being held with no bond.
