Traffic Stop Yields Arrest of Henrico Man

On August 4, 2016, at approximately 11:30 pm, Stafford County Deputy J.J. Kreider observed a blue Honda with a malfunctioning brake light exiting Old Forge Shopping Plaza. He initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver and the passenger. The driver of the vehicle, Constantina Chaney-Wright was found to be driving on a suspended license. Subsequently she gave her consent to search the vehicle. In the search both marijuana and paraphernalia were found. She was issued a summons to appear in court for driving on a suspended license. The passenger in the vehicle, Cedric Baron Thorne was arrested for possession of the marijuana found in the vehicle and taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for a possession of marijuana charge in Henrico County. Thorne, age 25, of Hustle Virginia was incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
