Suspect at Large - Public Assistance is Needed

The Stafford Sheriff’s Office answered a Breaking and Entering call late last evening, June 7, 2016, on Windsor Ridge Court.

At that time, the suspect fired multiple shots at a deputy sheriff injuring him, extensively. Currently, there are warrants for Joshua Anthony Sumter for Attempted Capital Murder through Stafford Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect frequents southern Stafford County. He is at large and is considered armed and dangerous.

The public’s assistance is needed to be on the lookout for Sumter, an 18 year-old-black male. He is 6’ 00” tall and weighs 155lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.
