Shooting Incident Under Investigation in Stafford Courthouse Area

The Stafford Sheriff’s Office reports that a shooting occurred at a business near the intersection of Interstate 95 and State Route 630 at approximately 7:15 p.m.

The suspect, Corey Andrew Terry of Richmond, shot a victim whose name is currently being withheld. The altercation arose from a domestic situation. The shooter fled from the scene on foot and was pursued by Stafford County Deputies with mutual aid rendered by the State Police, a Helicopter from Fairfax and a K-9 Unit from Spotsylvania.

The suspect has been taken into custody and the Sheriff’s Office has obtained arrest warrants for the charges of First Degree Murder and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony. The investigation is ongoing.
