PRESS RELEASE

On May 2, 2016 Emily Fallon, a member of the Stafford County School Board, was indicted by a Stafford Grand Jury on six Felony counts - three charges of Embezzlement and three charges of Obtaining Money by False Pretenses.
The allegations against Ms. Fallon relate to the period of June 2013 through June of 2015 when she served as president of the Moncure Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization, a non-profit association of parents whose mission is to support the teachers and students of Ann E. Moncure Elementary School.
The complex investigation began in 2015 when the PTO alerted the Sheriff’s Office to significant bookkeeping irregularities during Ms. Fallon’s tenure on the PTO board. When the sheriff’s department, in conjunction with the Stafford Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office, developed sufficient evidence of criminal wrongdoing, the case was presented to the grand jury. Today, that grand jury indicted Ms. Fallon.
The indictments cover the period of time before Ms. Fallon was elected to the Stafford County School Board and do not allege the misuse of county funds or any actions or behavior by Ms. Fallon while a member of that body.
The investigation is ongoing.
