The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reports the successful delivery of a healthy baby boy. Today, January 23, 2016 at 1:44 pm, the Stafford County Emergency Communications Center received a 9-1-1 call from a residence located in the south end of the county indicating that an expectant mother was in labor. The family was using the services of a midwife; however due to the weather the midwife had not been able to reach the residence. Stafford County Fire and Rescue was dispatched while Dispatcher Roy stayed on the phone with the father. Dispatcher Roy walked the father through the delivery which progressed very quickly. The father delivered his son at 1:46 pm. Mother, baby and father are all doing well.
