On Friday, June 27, 2014 the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office will be escorting Marine SSGT. David H. Stewart home from Dover Air Force Base. The escort should arrive in Stafford County approximately 2:30 pm. The escort route will be Rt. 3 to Cool Spring Road to Butler Road. The escort will then go north on Route 1 (Jefferson Davis Hwy.) to Courthouse Road in Stafford County to Covenant Funeral Home on Courthouse Road.

“It is a privilege to escort SSGT David Stewart home,” states Sheriff Charles Jett. “The brief trip through Stafford will give the citizens of Stafford County an opportunity to come out, while the escort goes by, and honor this brave man who gave his all for our country.”
