ON ROUTE 206 IN KING GEORGE
Motorists should be alert for rougher travel surface, minor travel delays

FREDERICKSBURG – Starting tonight, Route 206 in King George County will be reduced to a single travel lane overnight for paving work between Route 301 and the entrance to the Naval Support Facility at Dahlgren.

Motorists will be directed by a flagging crew to alternate traveling in a single lane between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. on Sunday-Thursday evenings, weather permitting.

Work crews will start the project by milling the existing pavement before applying a new layer of asphalt. Motorists on Route 206 will experience a rougher travel surface on a temporary basis while milling work is underway.

The project is expected to conclude on Thursday, May 22.
