Traffic reduced to one lane in each direction Steel Girder Repairs In March 2013, one of the exterior bridge girders on the I-95 south overpass at Russell Road was damaged when a dump truck struck the girder. The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has hired Fluor-Lane 95, the Express Lanes Design-Builder to repair the girder. Work is scheduled to start on or about March 24, and continue into late April/early May, weather permitting. Russell Road Lanes Shifted Crews will place concrete barriers and barrels along Russell Road to create the work zone under the bridge. VDOT and the Marine Corps Base Quantico will monitor the traffic signals along Russell Road to facilitate traffic movement.
