LANE CLOSURES THURSDAY NIGHT
ON NORTHBOUND ROUTE 17 IN STAFFORD
Closures scheduled between South Gateway/Sanford Drive and McLane Drive

FREDERICKSBURG – The left lane and center lane of northbound Route 17 in Stafford County will be closed overnight on the evening of Thursday, Aug. 22 between South Gateway Drive/Sanford Drive and McLane Drive.

These northbound lanes will be closed from 10 p.m. until approximately 3 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 23.

Northbound motorists will not be allowed to turn left at Sanford Drive and McLane Drive during the work zone. Motorists should make a U-turn at the next available traffic signal, and proceed south on Route 17 to reach their destination.

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will be removing a 6-foot by 6-foot pavement sample in preparation for a future pavement repair in this area.
