LANE CLOSURE AT FALMOUTH INTERSECTION TOMORROW
Right lane of southbound Route 1 will be closed in Stafford County near Route 17 Business, Route 218 in Falmouth

FREDERICKSBURG – Route 1 southbound will be reduced to one lane in Stafford County on Tuesday, April 23 for utility relocation work.

The lane closure will be in place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Route 1 southbound between Truslow Road and Route 17 Business/Route 218.

Utilities are being moved underground at the intersection before the Falmouth Intersection Improvement Project is advertised for construction in November 2013.

In the event of heavy congestion or an incident on Interstate 95, the work zone can be cleared within 15 minutes so Route 1 may serve as an alternate route.
