TRAFFIC SAFETY AWARD ANNOUNCED
The Stafford County Sheriff's Office entered the Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police Law Enforcement Challenge. This challenge awards law enforcement agencies for excellence in overall traffic safety enforcement, community education and low traffic fatality and accident rates. This year the Stafford County Sheriff's Office placed first in the division with Sheriff's Agencies with sworn members from 126-300 deputies. Sheriff Charles Jett along with Master Deputy Mike Powell and Deputy First Class Jason Forman accepted the award on behalf of the Sheriff's Office at the recent Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police annual conference. The Stafford County entry has now been entered into the International Chiefs of Police Law Enforcement Challenge where it will be judged against law enforcement agencies around the world. |
