Brandished Firearm near Fox Chase Boulevard

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. – Around 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to the report that a firearm had been brandished in the area of Fox Chase Boulevard.

Information was provided that the suspect had followed the victim in their vehicle before the firearm was brandished. Investigators determined that the suspect then drove back to Langley Oaks Court.

Due to the initial location of the incident and out of an abundance of caution, Edward E. Drew Middle School was placed on a partial lockdown. The partial lockdown was lifted shortly after. This incident is confirmed to have no connection with Edward E. Drew Middle School.

Deputies began to canvass the nearby area for the suspect’s vehicle. After an initial search, the suspect was located and was subsequently arrested.

The suspect was identified as Reginald Buie, 55, of Stafford. Buie was charged with brandishing a firearm and was released on a personal recognizance bond. The firearm was entered as evidence.
