After using violence to obtain the keys to a vehicle, a 28-year-old Stafford man was held without bond.

On September 30th, at approximately 3:54 a.m., Deputy K.F. Shifflett responded to Knollwood Court for a disturbance. The victim advised there was an assault and the suspect left using her vehicle. Deputy Shifflett made contact with the victim to ascertain what occurred.

It was discovered the known suspect asked repeatedly throughout the night to use the victim’s Toyota to make a trip to Richmond. The victim refused and went to bed. Instead of taking no for an answer, the suspect kicked in the victim’s bedroom door and began rummaging around for the keys. This resulted in what was described as a “tug-of-war” style altercation over the keys. During which, the suspect assaulted the victim and threatened to kill her. The suspect was able to forcibly take the keys and fled the area.

The suspect was identified as Ibrahim Kamara. At 6:50 a.m., Kamara and the stolen vehicle were both located in Stafford. Kamara was charged with robbery, assault and battery, destruction of property, and unauthorized use of a vehicle. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
