A local drug dealer was located and found in possession of, you guessed it, more drugs during a search warrant in North Stafford.

Recently, deputies received information regarding drug distribution occurring at Super 8, located at 25 Wicomico Drive. The suspect involved would be Marc Morgan, 60, of Stafford. Deputies would observe a hand to hand transaction occur in the parking lot of the Super 8 and inform detectives with the Special Investigations Unit.

With the information obtained, and directly observing potential drug activity, search warrants were obtained for Morgan. Members of the Street Crimes Unit located Morgan in his Mercedes and conducted a traffic stop. Morgan provided consent for his vehicle to be searched and suspected controlled substances were located. Additionally, the search warrant for his motel room would also uncover more baggies of suspected controlled substances.

Using TruNarc, a drug detection device, the substance was identified as cocaine. Morgan was charged with possession with intent to distribute controlled substances. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.

Great work to our deputies for removing harmful narcotics from the streets of Stafford County.
