A wanted Callao man added to his list of felony offenses when deputies attempted to detain him Friday morning.

On April 25th at approximately 4:56 a.m. deputies responded to the Super 8 Motel, located at 557 Warrenton Road, to assist a neighboring jurisdiction in locating a suspect. The suspect, Dion Parker, 25, was connected to a recent robbery. Despite fleeing and being located by Stafford deputies back in 2024, Parker was attempting to hide in Stafford once more.

When deputies arrived, they located Parker in an intoxicated state. They attempted to transport him when he began to physically resist and disregard commands. As the standoff continued, Parker assaulted a Sergeant and two deputies numerous times. Despite his efforts to delay the inevitable, he was detained and transported to Rappahannock Regional Jail. Luckily, no deputy received any injuries.

While at the jail, Parker attempted to flush evidence connected to the robbery. He was charged with five counts of assault on law enforcement, two counts of obstruction of justice, and destruction of evidence. He was additionally served on his outstanding warrant. Parker was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
