A disturbance at Buffalo Mo’s led to a repeat DUI driver from Woodbridge being arrested.

On May 7th at approximately 4:33 p.m. Sergeant E.E. West and Deputy K.F. Bierfeldt responded to Buffalo Mo’s, located at 33 Wicomico Drive, for a disturbance. Staff advised a clearly intoxicated female was refusing to leave. As deputies responded, staff advised she was now getting behind the wheel. The female was described wearing denim shorts, a white scarf, and a blonde wig and driving a gold Camry with a missing bumper.

With the rather unique description, Sergeant West was able to observe the suspect driving the suspect vehicle on Mine Road. She would continue onto Garrisonville Road before entering onto Wicomico Drive, heading back towards Buffalo Mo’s. Deputies made contact with the suspect who not only had signs of intoxication and admitted to consuming “half of a Tequila Sunrise,” but had a revoked license. Despite the clearly problematic issues at hand, the suspect would loudly protest that there was no grounds to have her arrested and she has a “clean record.” Both were determined to be false.

After conducting field sobriety tests, and locating an empty vodka bottle in her vehicle, the suspect was detained. She would act belligerently towards deputies and use derogatory terms towards them. Fire and Rescue staff responded due to the suspect complaining of pains and demanding them to respond; however, when they arrived she would change her mind and refused to be seen by them and continued her belligerent onslaught towards them. Her less than enthusiastic behavior would continue all the way to Rappahannock Regional Jail.

The suspect was charged with driving under the influence second offense within five years, second offense refusal, falsely summoning Fire and Rescue staff, and driving while suspended. She was held on a $3,500 secured bond.
