While it’s unknown why people flock to Stafford County in an attempt to commit crimes, one thing is certain, deputies won’t stand for it. A shoplifting trio discovered this fact Wednesday. On April 3rd at approximately 12:25 p.m. deputies would once again respond to Kohl’s, located at 1220 Stafford Market Place, for a larceny. Staff advised three people, two males and one female, were actively stealing a large amount of foundation. As deputies entered Stafford Market Place, the suspects were leaving in a white SUV. They would not make it far before Deputy S.C. Martin located the suspect vehicle. Before the suspects could pass the Panera Bread, deputies boxed in the vehicle and quickly detained all three suspects. Unfortunately for the suspects, they did not have time to use the foundation before their mugshots. Barbu and Roman were both charged with grand larceny, receiving stolen goods, larceny with intent to sell, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The juvenile received criminal complaints for grand larceny, receiving stolen goods, larceny with intent to sell, concealment, and possession of burglary tools. Juvenile intake was contacted but refused to detain the juvenile, so she was released to her mother. |
