Stafford, Va. The Stafford County Sheriff's Office reports the arrest of Michael Neal Michaud off 32 Arrowhead Drive in Stafford County.

Stafford Deputies responded to 32 Arrowhead Drive this afternoon, Tuesday February 15 at approximately 1:33 PM after receiving a call from a citizen who had seen Michaud's vehicle parked at his residence. Deputies set up a perimeter and spotted Michaud standing in his doorway. Sgt. David Stout challenged Michaud to get on the ground where Michaud was taken into custody without incident at 1:52 PM. Currently Michaud is being taken to the Rappahannock Regional Jail.

Detective Darryl Wells had charged Michaud with 3 Counts of Possession of Child Pornography on Monday, February 14. At the time the search warrant was executed Michaud was not at his residence. Michaud fled from the area last night.

Stafford, Va. The Stafford County Sheriff's Office is requesting the public's assistance in locating Michael Neal Michaud, age 50, of 32 Arrowhead Drive, Stafford. Michael Michaud has been charged with 3 Counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

Detective Darryl Wells of the Stafford County Sheriff's Office received a tip in mid August of 2010 that Michael Michaud was in possession of child pornography of children below the age of two. Wells initiated an investigation into the tip and on Monday, February 14, 2011 a search warrant was executed at Michaud's residence. Michaud was not at the residence at the time of the search warrant but he was reached by detectives on the phone. Michaud refused to come to the residence to speak with investigators.

Michael Michaud has fled the area and may be in the Virginia Beach area or in Florida. Michaud may be driving a burnt orange 2005 2-door Chevy Cavalier with the Virginia license plate number of XEY-4618.
Michael Michaud is described as a white male, age 50, 6 ft. tall, weighing approximately 168 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone who has seen Michael Michaud or knows where he may be is asked to not approach him but is asked to call the Stafford County Sheriff's Office at 540-658-4400 or your local law enforcement agency. Information obtained during this investigation indicates that Michaud may be armed.

This investigation is ongoing.
