A King George woman was arrested for DUI Saturday after an off-duty deputy reported her poor driving behavior.

On May 27th at 5:10 p.m. Deputy C.C. Lee responded to the area of Kings Highway and Cool Spring Road for a possible intoxicated driver. An off-duty Stafford County deputy had witnessed a Honda Odyssey swerving in the lane of travel as it entered Stafford County.

Deputy Lee located the Honda and observed it speeding. A traffic stop was conducted at Kings Highway and Albion Lane. The driver was identified as a 37-year-old female and she had the odor of an alcoholic beverage. She acknowledged having 2 mimosas while downtown.

Field sobriety tests were offered and she was arrested. She was charged with DUI and held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
