DUI Arrest

A Herndon woman was arrested yesterday for driving under the influence with a young child in the car.

On February 17th at 8:11 p.m. Sergeant K.P. Lytle and Deputy B.M. Taylor responded to a reckless driver complaint. The witness reported a silver Ford Fusion was all over the road and had struck multiple curbs.

The suspect vehicle was located and a traffic stop was initiated on the Falmouth Bridge as the vehicle crossed towards Fredericksburg. The driver was identified as Brittany Passmore, 29. Deputies located an open White Claw and bottle of whisky in the vehicle. Deputies also discovered a young child was in the vehicle with Passmore.

Passmore was arrested for DUI with a child, felony child neglect, obstruction, refusal, drinking while driving and a traffic lane violation. She was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $4,000 bond. Sgt. Lytle and Deputy A.M. Pitts cared for the child until a relative could respond. Child Protective Services was notified of the arrest.
