A Spotsylvania man has been arrested after an incident involving a juvenile in Aquia Harbour last weekend thanks to a team effort of the Sheriff’s Office and the community.

On December 31st deputies responded to Aquia Harbour to investigate a suspicious incident. Deputy N.J. Amato III learned a juvenile was walking in the 3600 block of Aquia Drive when she was approached by a subject in a van. The subject made a sexually explicit comment to the juvenile. The juvenile was not injured during the incident and left the area to tell an adult.

Deputies canvassed the area and the community provided helpful video evidence. Detective N. D. Ridings continued the investigation throughout the holiday weekend. As a result of the investigation, Gregory Habron, 35, was arrested last night for attempted indecent liberties with a child less than 15 years of age. He is a contracted package delivery driver in the area. Habron was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. This is an ongoing investigation and no further information is being released at this time.

We are extremely thankful for all the help from the community on this case.
