A Target employee is the focus of a theft investigation after a customer reported their wallet was stolen.

On September 29th Deputy T.M. Givler responded to a larceny complaint which occurred at the Target in Stafford Market Place. The victim reported he left his wallet, containing cash and credit cards, near a self-checkout station on September 28th and returned approximately ten minutes later to find the wallet gone. Loss prevention staff was able to locate video of a Target employee taking the wallet after the customer left the store.

The suspect was identified as James Adams, 31, of Stafford. The pilfered wallet, minus the cash, was recovered from Adams’ work locker. A warrant for petit larceny was obtained, but deputies have not been able to locate Adams to serve the warrant. If James Adams is reading this post, our office is open 24/7 for self-surrender.
