A revoked driver was arrested last night after a brief pursuit in North Stafford.

On October 30th at 11:12 P.M. Deputy J.D. Hurt and Deputy D.L. Brookman, Jr. noticed a red Hyundai Elantra on Eustace Road with registration that expired two years ago. They attempted a traffic stop near the intersection of Garrisonville Road and Dorothy Lane, but the vehicle accelerated down Dorothy Lane at a high rate of speed.

The Hyundai driver made an abrupt turn onto Jane Court, going over the curb and striking a stop sign. The vehicle came to a stop on Jane Court and the driver was ordered out of the car.

The driver was identified as Ashley Wiggins, 27, of Stafford. She was arrested for driving revoked, eluding, expired registration, no inspection sticker, and drinking while driving. Wiggins was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
