A Stafford man earned himself a one-way ticket to Rappahannock Regional Jail after committing multiple crimes.

On October 21st, at approximately 5:41 p.m. Deputy C.T. Richardson responded to the 2200 block of Garrisonville Road for a call of a domestic. The victim advised David Jackson, 55, assaulted her after a verbal argument. After the assault, the victim was unable to leave the room because Jackson was blocking the exit. With the information provided, Deputy Richardson obtained warrants for domestic assault and battery, as well as, abduction. It was discovered Jackson had active warrants out of both Stafford and Spotsylvania County.

Deputies went to Jackson’s residence on October 22nd, at 12:12 a.m. in an attempt to serve the warrants. Jackson noticed the mighty Stafford County Sheriff’s Office closing in and fled in a vehicle. In his attempt to flee, Jackson struck and destroyed two brick archways on Rock Hill Church Road before he abandoned the damaged vehicle and fled on foot.

Multiple deputies responded to the area in order locate Jackson, including K-9 and Drone Team. Unfortunately, their efforts were unsuccessful at that time. That afternoon, deputies, including Sergeant B.U. Demirci and K-9 Titan, returned to the Garrisonville Road address to serve the warrants. Deputies on scene were able to determined that Jackson was in a bedroom and announcements were made to surrender. With the encouragement of K-9 Titan’s barking, Jackson surrendered.

Jackson was served on a plethora of charges. He was charged with domestic assault and battery, abduction, hit and run, reckless driving, driving while revoked, as well as, two counts of destruction of property. He was also served on his outstanding warrants. Jackson was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
