A Washington DC woman enters Rappahannock Regional Jail with two new charges after a wild Wednesday afternoon.

On October 19th, at approximately 4:52 p.m. Deputy C.C. Crossett responded to a call of a disturbance at Sheetz located on 15 Wyche Road. The caller, a store employee, advised they were just attacked. They provided the description of a black female wearing a green shirt and no pants.

When deputies arrived, they observed a female matching the description sitting in her vehicle at one of the gas pumps. The female, later identified as Ebony Jones, 43, was detained as Deputy Crossett spoke with the victim.

The victim advised Jones attempted to steal over $20 worth of items. When store employees attempted to stop Jones, she sprayed an employee with an aerosol can. She then left the store. Deputy Crossett asked Jones about the incident and she confirmed she attempted to steal the items then sprayed the employee with feminine deodorant.

Deputy Crossett arrested Jones for larceny, as well as, assault and battery. She was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. Great job to Deputy Crossett for handling the situation in a cool and calm manner.
