A repeat DUI offender was arrested Friday night after parking her vehicle in a South Stafford ditch. On September 30th at 9:05 p.m. Deputy A.M. Pitts responded to Randolph Road for a single vehicle accident. Upon arrival, she discovered a Toyota RAV4 in the ditch and identified the driver as Nicole Murphy, 31, of Stafford. Murphy had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and an odor of alcoholic beverage. There was fresh damage on the vehicle and deputies checked the area, but could not determine what was struck. If anyone in the area of Ferry Farms has hit and run damage, please contact our office. Murphy was arrested and charged with DUI second offense in five to ten years with a blood alcohol content over .20. She was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $2,000 bond. Drive sober or get pulled over. |
