Cyber tips lead to a Stafford man being arrested for multiple counts of child pornography.

Detective T.S. Martin had received tips from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force last year that possible child pornography was being uploaded. Detective Martin, along with Virginia State Police, investigated and were able to pinpoint the IP address uploading the illegal pornography. It was traced back to Jonathan Davis, 50.

Surveillance was conducted on Davis’s residence and a search warrant was obtained. On August 24th, deputies executed the search warrant as Davis returned home from work. Davis complied with the search warrant without incident.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office confiscated over 200 gigabytes of child pornography from the residence. On September 9th, Jonathan Davis was charged with ten counts of possession of child pornography and ten counts of reproduction of child pornography. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $2,500 secured bond.
