A wanted repeat intoxicated driver was arrested Friday night after an alert resident reported his behavior.

On September 9th at 11:40 p.m. Deputy C.T. Richardson responded to a possible drunk driver turning from Tech Parkway onto Garrisonville Road. A witness reported the driver was stumbling around before falling into the driver’s seat and driving away.

The vehicle was located at the Sheetz, 1175 Garrisonville Road, and Deputy Richardson identified the driver as William Castro, 27, of Stafford. Castro had an odor of alcoholic beverage and was unsteady on his feet. He was subsequently arrested for DUI.

Castor’s legal troubles grew as Deputy Richardson learned Castro was wanted in Alexandria for failure to appear for DUI and in Prince William for failure to appear for an assault. Castro was served the outstanding warrants and additionally charged with DUI second offense in five years, second offense refusal, and obstruction. He was held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.

Drive sober or get pulled over.
