Suspicious Incident

Last night Deputy E.E. West responded to a report of a past occurred suspicious incident in the area of Carnaby Street. The complainant reported a middle school student was approached by a stranger in a vehicle as she walked toward her bus stop on the morning of August 18th at approximately 8:45. The stranger told the child to get in his vehicle several times. The brave young lady refused and ran home.

Deputies and detectives canvassed the area last night and this morning and are continuing to try and identify the stranger. He is described as a Hispanic male in his 40’s with black hair, brown eyes, a mustache and is heavyset. He was driving an older model 4-door tan sedan with a shiny tan leather interior and unknown Virginia tags. The sedan appeared to be newly restored.
