A Stafford man will spend the remainder of the weekend in jail after causing an accident in South Stafford yesterday while driving under the influence.

On August 5th at 4:30 p.m. Deputy J.C. Curtis responded to the intersection of the Blue and Gray Parkway and Kings Highway for an auto accident. He arrived to find a Toyota Tacoma driven by Alexander Stone, 26, had crashed into the rear of a Chevy van causing significant damage. The driver of the van was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Deputy Curtis noticed Stone had red, glassy eyes and a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath. Field sobriety tests were offered and Stone was arrested.

Stone was charged with DUI second offense in five years, second offense refusal, and driving revoked alcohol related. He was held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.

Drive sober or get pulled over.
