Traffic lane violation leads to two arrests on Bulter Road and seized drugs.

On August 1st, 2022 at 11:44 p.m. Deputy B.M. Taylor was driving on Butler Road when she observed a vehicle cross the double yellow line. Deputy Taylor ran the registration of the vehicle to find out the registered owner, George Holmes III, 29, of Fredericksburg was wanted for felony forgery charges in another jurisdiction. Deputy Taylor initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Jessica Hahn, 37, of Colonial Beach.

When she asked to see Hahn’s license, Hahn told Deputy Taylor it was suspended. As the conversation with Hahn continued, she admitted she knew she was going to jail for the drugs in her purse. Deputy Taylor located multiple suspected controlled substances within the purse. Approximately 3.25 ounces of the suspected controlled substance was seized.

The registered owner, Holmes, was laying down in the front passenger seat. When Holmes conversed with Deputies he admitted he knew there were active warrants out for him. Holmes was taken into custody and served on his warrants out of Kilmarnock.

Hahn was charged with possession with intent to distribute narcotics, driving while suspended and the traffic lane violation. Both Hahn and Holmes were held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
