Assault Arrest

On July 20th, 2022 Deputy C.J. Sacke responded to a call of a disturbance on McCarty Road. The suspect, Stephen Brown, 35, of Fredericksburg was tearing up the yard of a residence. Brown had an active misdemeanor assault warrant, as well as, two emergency protective orders that needed to be served.

While driving to the scene, Deputy Sacke observed the suspect driving on White Oak Road and initiated a traffic stop.

The first victim, stated Brown broke into their residence and searched the victim’s room, leaving it in disarray. Brown then left that residence to go to another residence. The second victim stated that Brown made multiple threats to include “I’ll burn the house to the ground,” as well as indicating he left a bomb in the first victim’s bedroom. As Brown was leaving the area, he attempted to run over the first victim, as well as, another victim.

Stephen Brown was charged with entering a property to damage, threats to bomb, two counts of driving while suspended and three counts of assault. Brown was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
