A Stafford man was jailed without bond after a resident reported a stalking and brandishing incident last night.

On June 30th at 10:52 p.m. Deputy J.C. Thomas responded to a disturbance on Coastal Avenue. His investigation revealed Philip Davis, 36, a former neighbor of the victim, had returned to the area last night. Davis had stopped in front of the victim’s home and honked his horn for approximately two minutes.

The victim came to the front door and she witnessed Davis brandish a handgun toward her, across the passenger side of his truck. Davis proceeded to flee the scene in a black Toyota truck. The victim also described several other incidents this year involving Davis causing her to fear for her safety.

Sergeant G.A. Haney located the suspect vehicle parked on Kings Crest Drive and found Davis in the driver’s seat. Davis was detained and a loaded Taurus 9 mm handgun was discovered on the passenger side floorboard.

The handgun was seized as evidence and Davis was charged with brandishing and stalking. He was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. This is an ongoing investigation.
