Misguided Motorist Arrested |

A Stafford man was arrested and jailed for several charges early Saturday morning after passing a deputy at a high rate of speed. On June 4th at 2:34 a.m. Deputy C.T. Richardson was eastbound on Garrisonville Road near North Stafford High School when a westbound Chevrolet Corvette passed him at 100 mph in the posted 40 mph zone. Deputy Richardson turned around and caught up to the Corvette near the intersection of Garrisonville Road and Joshua Road. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Luis Onate Valencia, 28. Onate Valencia had slurred speech and an odor of alcoholic beverage. He was arrested for DUI second in five years, reckless driving, obstruction and refusal. Onate Valencia was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $5,000 bond. Drive sober or get pulled over. |
