An intoxicated driver was arrested Friday night after leaving a path of destruction in South Stafford.

On June 3rd at 8:21 p.m. Deputy C.J. Sacke responded to a drunk driver complaint on Clarion Drive. The investigation revealed an intoxicated driver struck several mailboxes on Ferry Road before turning on Clarion Drive. Once on Clarion Drive, the suspect ran off the road into a yard, went back into the roadway and struck a parked car.

Deputy Sacke found the driver to be extremely confused and a passenger was unresponsive. He performed life-saving first aid to the passenger until medics arrived on scene. The driver was identified as Jessica Williams, 36, of Woodford. She was arrested and a search warrant for blood was executed.

Williams was charged with DUI, reckless driving and several counts of destruction of property. She was held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail. The passenger was treated and released at the hospital.

Drive sober or get pulled over.
