Two Stafford residents were arrested yesterday after both were found to be wanted and suspected controlled substances were found.

On June 3rd at 10:51 a.m. Sergeant A.I. Assur observed Michelle Rupe, 44, asleep in a vehicle at the fuel pumps of the Orville Road 7-Eleven. He also noticed Douglas Nail, 52, approach the vehicle and appear to be under the influence of drugs.

Rupe was found to be wanted for a probation violation in Spotsylvania, while Nail was wanted on Capias warrants in Stafford, Spotsylvania and Fredericksburg. Suspected controlled substances and paraphernalia were located in the vehicle.

Deputy T.M. Givler responded to assist and both suspects were arrested. Rupe and Nail were both served the outstanding warrants and each was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of controlled paraphernalia and public intoxication. Both were held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
