A Stafford man surrendering at the jail received an additional charge when a suspected controlled substance was found during a search at intake.

On May 23rd at 12:40 a.m. Deputy S. Waheed responded to the Rappahannock Regional Jail for a suspect turning himself in for an active warrant. Deputy Waheed determined Johnny Lytch, Jr., 40, was wanted in Stafford County for contempt of court.

The warrant was served, and as Lytch was being searched, a suspected controlled substance was found in his wallet. A new warrant was issued for possession of a controlled substance. Lytch was held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
