Bar Brawl Leads to Several Arrests

A fight at a North Stafford bar Sunday night elicited a large law enforcement response and several arrests as deputies encountered a stampede of combatants.

On May 22nd at 11:08 p.m. deputies responded to Buffalo Mo’s at 33 Wicomico Drive for a fight in progress. Initial callers reported 10 people fighting and furniture being thrown. As Deputy A.J. Deasy arrived on scene, he encountered an agitated female screaming. The female had bloodshot, glassy eyes and assaulted the deputy as he was trying to quell the combatants in the parking lot.

The female was detained and identified as Chelsea Donald, 30, of Stephens City. Chelsea Donald was charged with public intoxication and assault and battery on law enforcement. She was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.

The investigation revealed Stephen Donald, 34, of Stephens City, had assaulted a bouncer at the bar. Several relatives of Stephen Donald, including his mother, joined the fracas. Stephen Donald was charged with assault, assault by mob and disorderly conduct and held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.

Deputy B.E. Vaughn detained Kaleb Pettry, 20, of Stephens City and learned he had been involved in the altercation. Pettry relayed he had been attempting to defend his family and was assaulted. Pettry was charged with assault, assault by mob and disorderly conduct and held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.

Deputy E.E. West detained Lisa Donald, 52, of Stafford after she noticed Lisa Donald had red, glassy eyes and an odor of alcoholic beverage. Lisa Donald was also reported to be throwing punches, but told deputies she got involved to protect her son. She was charged with assault, assault by mob and disorderly conduct and held until sober at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.

There were no serious injuries reported at the scene. The case is still under investigation as deputies are obtaining the security footage from the bar.
