DUI Arrest

A repeat DUI offender was arrested yesterday evening and charged with several offenses.

On May 1st at 8:49 p.m. Deputy B.M. Taylor stopped Mbu Landry Mabaya for failing to maintain the lane of travel on U.S. 1 near Upton Lane.

Mabaya had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath and he was arrested. He was charged with DUI second offense in five years with an elevated blood alcohol content over .20, driving revoked and the traffic lane violation. He was also found to be wanted for a probation violation in Stafford.

Mabaya was held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
