A Stafford woman was arrested for DUI after a deputy found her trying to get her car out of a ditch.

On April 16th at 12:14 a.m. Deputy D.S. Jett observed a red Nissan Sentra attempting to get out of the ditch at the intersection of Brooke Road and Ringgold Road. The driver was identified as Cheryl Bashor, 24.

Bashor had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on her breath and was arrested. She was charged with DUI with a blood alcohol content between .15 and .20. Bashor was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.

Drive sober or get pulled over. If you plan to go out drinking, leave your car at home so you have to get a sober ride home.
