A suspected impaired driver was arrested after falling asleep in her vehicle and rolling into a pole in a convenience store parking lot.

On March 25th at 3:45 a.m. Deputy M.A. Holub responded to the Wawa at 105 Garrisonville Road for an unknown medical emergency. He discovered Karissa Watson, 35, of Spotsylvania, asleep in the driver’s seat of a Jeep in the parking lot. The Jeep was running, straddling two parking spots and was resting against the bollard in front of the store.

Deputy Holub woke Watson up and noticed she had bloodshot eyes and was unsteady on her feet. She was arrested and charged with DUI and drinking while driving. Watson was held on an unsecured bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.

Drive sober or get pulled over.
