A man who caused several disturbances in Stafford Saturday afternoon was arrested for trespassing.

On March 12th at 2:47 p.m. deputies responded to the area of Warrenton Road and Cambridge Street for a subject walking into traffic and causing a disturbance. The man was identified as William Sommer II, 36, of Wilmington, North Carolina. Sommer was advised to stay out of the road and deputies cleared the scene.

A little after 4:00 p.m. deputies were called to the Gari Melchers Studio on nearby Washington Street for another disturbance involving Sommer. There was a wedding on the property and Sommer was disturbing the guests. It does not appear he had any affiliation with anyone at the wedding and simply wandered onto the property. Sommer was trespassed from the property and deputies again cleared the scene.

At 5:45 p.m. deputies responded to Amy’s Café on W. Cambridge Street to remove Sommer from that property. He was again trespassed, but returned to the property at 6:13 p.m. Sommer was subsequently arrested and transported to the magistrate. He was charged with trespassing and released by the magistrate on an unsecure bond.
