Last night at 11:08 p.m., Sergeant B.U. Demirci and Deputy D.S. Jett responded to the area of Village Parkway for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, they observed the vehicle pulling into a parking space at the McDonald’s. The deputies approached the vehicle and identified the driver as Armando Rodriguez, 35, of Fredericksburg.

Deputy Jett noticed Rodriguez smelled of alcoholic beverages. Upon running Rodriguez’s information through law enforcement databases, Deputy Jett learned Rodriguez was wanted out of Prince William County for failure to appear.

Field sobriety tests were administered and Rodriguez was arrested for driving under the influence. A controlled substance was also found in his possession. Rodriguez was served the outstanding warrant and received additional charges for DUI and possession of a controlled substance. He was held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
