Yesterday at 5:12 p.m., Deputy S.C. Davis responded to Denison Street for a report of an assault. The caller advised the suspect, Timothy Wilburn, 67, of Fredericksburg, had brandished a knife at two people inside the residence.

Upon arrival, Deputy Davis observed Wilburn outside the home. The deputy asked Wilburn if he was still in possession of the knife. Wilburn responded by removing a pocketknife from his pants pocket and placing it on a nearby table. He was then detained by deputies.

Further investigation revealed Wilburn had been in a verbal altercation with the victims on and off throughout the day. During the final encounter, Wilburn lunged at the victims with the pocketknife blade extended while threatening to kill them both.

Wilburn was arrested for two counts of aggravated malicious wounding and held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail. The victims were not injured during the incident.
