On March 9, 2020 at 9:09 p.m., deputies responded to Popeyes (253 Garrisonville Road) for a report of a disturbance. The investigation revealed the suspect, Jonathan Moore, 29, of Herndon, arranged to meet the three victims at that location. While parked at the business, Moore approached the victims’ vehicle and brandished a firearm. He then demanded the female victim to exit the vehicle and come with him. Moore fled the scene with the female victim inside his vehicle. The victim was later located safe by deputies. Moore was charged with assault, abduction, use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, reckless handling of a firearm, and three counts of brandishing.

On June 9, 2021, Moore failed to appear for trial in this case. He is currently wanted for failure to appear, CAPIAS for revocation of bond, and criminal solicitation.

Anyone with information on Moore’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office at (540) 658-4400. Tips can also be submitted by texting STAFFORD + your tip to 274-637.
