The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office has identified 57-year-old Peter Francis Sr. as the suspect in a murder-suicide. The victim is identified as 53-year-old Michele Francis.

On October 31 at approximately 10:01 p.m., deputies responded to the residence on Baldwin Drive for a report of a shooting. The caller stated he heard two gunshots come for the upstairs of the residence. Deputies arrived and located the victim and suspect deceased in the master bedroom. Both had sustained single gunshot wounds. The initial investigation indicates Peter Francis Sr. shot his wife, Michele Francis, before killing himself. The investigation is ongoing.
