An investigation has led to the identification of a robbery suspect who is now in custody.

On August 31, 2020 at 6:10 p.m., deputies responded to Sebastian Road for a report of a robbery. The victim stated he had attempted to sell items through Snapchat and had arranged for the exchange to take place at his residence. Two suspects arrived at the residence armed with handguns. They demanded money and the items before fleeing the scene.

Detective C.L. Jacobs was able to identify one of the suspects as Jordan Reed, 20, of King George. Detective Jacobs later learned Reed was the suspect in a homicide investigation being conducted by the Fredericksburg Police Department. Reed is now in custody for charges related to that investigation and charged by the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office with robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Reed was held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
