On October 1, at 1:25 a.m. Deputy J.W. Ahern and Deputy C.T. Richardson responded to Northampton Boulevard for a report of a verbal altercation. The complainant advised the suspect, Ramiz Yousuf, was possibly under the influence.

Deputy Richardson arrived on-scene and observed Yousuf standing by his vehicle. Yousuf was ordered to stop, but got in the vehicle and drove off. Deputy Richardson and Deputy Ahern pursued the vehicle on Northampton Boulevard and onto Mine Road. The vehicle failed to stop at stop signs and continued to travel at a high-rate of speed. It then began to make a U-turn at Exeter Lane and Deputy Ahern used his vehicle to make contact with Yousuf’s vehicle. The suspect vehicle came to a stop and Yousuf was taken into custody.

Ramiz Yousuf, 19, of Stafford, was arrested for driving under the influence and felony eluding. He was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $2,000 secured bond.
